The Godolphin gelding with Zac Purton aboard pushed forward early during the Group One race and fought off a late charge from Happy Clapper.
Sense of Occasion came third.
It’s Somewhat was $31 when gates opened whilst Le Romain jumped as favourite with Sportsbet.com.au at $5.50.
