A return to Rosehill might just be the key to Ofcourseican in Saturday’s Listed Triscay Stakes.

The mare has shown an affinity for the western Sydney circuit where she has raced six times for two wins, three placings and a close-up fifth to Zingaling in last year’s Group Three Birthday Card Stakes.

She will resume in Saturday’s 1200-metre feature on the back of a recent barrier trial win over Triscay rival Happy Hippy.

Trainer Ron Quinton says the signs point to Ofcourseican running well.

“You never quite know with mares,” Quinton said.

“But she’s eating very well, she trialled nicely, she looks very well and she always goes well first-up.

“There is nothing there to say she won’t race well.”

TAB Sportsbet had Ofcourseican on the second line of betting at $6 on Friday.

In an open betting race, Dystopia and Alberton Park shared favouritism at $4.80.

Ofcourseican has drawn wide in barrier 11 but Quinton doesn’t believe it will be an issue given she usually settles back and finds the line.

“The barrier is not a major factor for her,” Quinton said.

Meanwhile, Quinton reported Villiers Stakes winner Monton was back in work and scheduled to resume in the Canterbury Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill on March 24.

He will then head towards the Doncaster Mile via the George Ryder Stakes.
