Race 1 – 3:40pm – Ladbroke It! Plate (1200m)

Forged has returned two nice efforts since resuming, and he is ready to win at Ladbrokes Park this week.

The Exosphere gelding finished third, beaten just over a length at Sale when fresh, and he was far from disgraced when third in a similar contest to this one last time.

Fitter third-up and under Damien Lane, this looks his opportunity.

Race 2 – 4:15pm – Ladbrokes Switch Handicap (1300m)

There are a few nice horses engaged in the second at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, but I am going to stick with Throntari dropping back to the midweeks.

Throntari finished fourth, beaten a length at The Valley when resuming, and she was unlucky to only just miss in BM70 company at Caulfield last time.

Fitter third-up, she can continue her rise through the grades by winning this.

Race 3 – 4:50pm – Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Handicap (2400m)

This looks to be one of the more open races on Wednesday’s program at Ladbrokes Park, and a horse like Miss Five Hundred has claims on winning.

Miss Five Hundred is yet to strike in four starts back this time, but there is no doubt that she has continued to improve with each, and as she has been stepped further out in trip.

The mile and a half this week should prove ideal, she’s rock-hard fit and drawn to receive every chance in running under Jye McNeil.

Race 4 – 5:25pm – Ladbrokes Blended Bets Handicap (1600m)

All eight gallopers engaged in the fourth at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday have enjoyed impressive starts to their respective career and there is a case to be made for each.

With that in mind, I think that the ride could play a key roll, and I am going to have something on Green Belt.

Green Belt has made just one appearance at the races so far, but her charged through to score a dominant win at Cranbourne, greeting the judge almost four lengths ahead of his rivals.

Jamie Kah rides again this week and the horse will only improve for that experience.

Race 5 – 6:00pm – Tile Importer Handicap (1200m)

Jucconi hasn’t been seen at the races since August, but he puts an unbeaten record on the line at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, and he can return a winning.

The Nicconi gelding stamped himself as one to watch with a dominant win on debut at Pakenham, and he went to the paddock after franking that effort and winning again at Ballarat.

This is the hardest task that he has been set, but he looks up to it.

Race 6 – 6:30pm – Stud And Stable Staff Awards Handicap (2100m)

Gate Crash has returned to the races in impressive form, and he can record another win at Ladbrokes Park.

The four-year-old son of Roc De Cambes finished second behind Defiant Diva here when resuming and charged in to score in a similar race last time out.

He’ll take further improvement into this contest and should relish getting further out in trip at this point of his prep.

Race 7 – 7:00pm – Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Handicap (1400m)

Logan Street Lion looks beautifully placed to strike second-up at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Tavistock gelding has been a consistent performer for the Waller yard since debuting, and he record to the races with an eye-catching effort to only just miss here at the beginning of the year.

He strips fitter, is drawn ideally and is my best bet of the day.

Race 8 – 7:30pm – Ladbrokes Fast Withdrawals Handicap (1600m)

I think that Eluding can bounce back in the last at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

Eluding was impressive in winning each of his first two starts back this time, and he was only denied by a classy won in Brasada at Flemington third-up. He steps out this week following a luckless midfield effort at Caulfield, but he looks to be at peak fitness, and this is a small drop in class.
