Already a Group One winner at Randwick, the Mick Price-trained Seabrook is aiming to add another when she runs in the Surround Stakes.
The Melbourne-trained filly kicks off her autumn campaign in Sydney on Saturday in the 1400m Surround Stakes for fillies.
It starts a run of a minimum three Group One races for the three-year-old who has also been earmarked for the Coolmore Classic at Rosehill on March 16 and the Coolmore Legacy at Randwick four weeks later.
As a two-year-old Seabrook won the Group One Champagne Stakes at Randwick before claiming a Group One placing when third to Amphitrite in the Thousand Guineas in the spring.
“The option was to wait another week for the Kewney Stakes (at Flemington) but she’s already a Group One winner,” Price said.
“If she runs in the Kewney it puts her a week off the Group One fillies and mares race in Sydney, so I thought I’d get her up there, get her settled in and chase the Group One fillies and mares races.”
Seabrook has drawn barrier 10 and Price said he would suggest she be ridden cold in a bid to finish the race off strongly.
He said the filly was in fantastic order and had done plenty of work right-handed ahead of her return.
“She’s flexible because if you draw a gate you can put her up there,” Price said.
“I think if we ride cold, she can get home and I think you’ll see her working home really well.
“She worked on Wednesday after going up there last week after she worked the reverse way here a couple of times before that.
“She’s beautiful, she’s bigger, she’s stronger.
“Her fitness in a Group One might pinch her in the last 100 metres but I still expect her to be running on into the finish.”
