Punters have jumped ship and are now smashing Queensland sprinter Spirit Of Boom for tomorrow’s Doomben 10,000.
Online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au has taken more money on Spirit Of Boom ($5.50) than all other runners combined. Money has dried up for favourite Buffering ($4.00), with Rebel Dane ($5.50) attracting more interest.
“Buffering is usually the popular Queensland horse with punters, but Spirit Of Boom is the only one punters want. It appears they aren’t willing to forgive Buffering’s disappointing effort in the BTC Cup,’’Sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson said.
Stablemate to the money horse, Temple Of Boom ($17) and Sydney sprinter Hot Snitzel ($15) have also attracted little interest from punters. BTC Cup winner Famous Seamus is steady at $7.50.
