Tatt’s Tiara Day at Eagle Farm Tips, Race Previews and Selections – 25/6/2022

The end of the Queensland winter carnival is upon us but we have one more Group 1 to look forward to.

Our full 2022 Tatt’s Tiara Day Preview can be found below.

Preview brought to you by Ladbrokes. Learn more about Ladbrokes HERE.

Race 1 – Class 3 Handicap (1600m)

A difficult way to start the day from a punting perspective and I’m happy to stay out of this one.

Bet Now: Race 1

Race 2 – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1200m)

Joy Too All is a very interesting runner in the second race of the day.

The five year old mare has had just the seven career starts after an interrupted racing career.

She has five wins to her name including a win on the Sunshine Coast at the end of May.

Bet Now: Joy Too All

Race 3 – Listed Gold Crown (2150m)

Little Mix put together two wins in a row at Toowoomba earlier this prep by a combined 12.8 lengths.

The three year old filly then stepped out as favourite on the Gold Coast to be beaten by the barest of margins, but the top two did have six lengths on the third placed runner.

This is a significant step up in class, but she is yet to miss a place from six career starts and has drawn to get a nice run in transit from barrier two.

Bet Now: Little Mix

Race 4 – Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup (2400m)

Esti Feny has failed to placed in his past three runs but he has not been beaten far in each of them.

He was beaten less than three lengths in the Group 1 Doomben Cup and then finished within two lengths of Numerian in the Q22.

He has two wins from three attempts over 2400m and this looks the perfect race for him now.

Bet Now: Esti Feny

Race 5 – Battle Of The Bush Final (1200m)

This is one of the highlights on the winter campaign in my opinion as the country trained horses ascend on Eagle Farm.

V J Day has put together five wins on the trot and this includes a win the Country Stamp Final at Doomben but in December over 1110m.

Six of his 14 career wins have been at 1200m and he should be ready to peak at his fourth run this prep.

Bet Now: V J Day

Race 6 – 3YO Fillies (1200m)

Invisible Tears was sent out as the $1.40 favourite on the Gold Coast to finish off her last campaign and she showed she is a filly with some ability by comfortably winning.

That was only a maiden against her own age but she has plenty of natural speed and I loved her trial leading into this first up assignment.

Bet Now: Invisible Tears

Race 7 – Listed Members Stakes (1400m)

Chayse ‘N’ Artie proved he is a juvenile with plenty of ability when he beat Swiss Exile by 1.5 lengths on the Sunshine Coast two back over 1200m.

Of course that horse went on to win the Group 2 Spirit Of Boom and then ran second to Sheeza Belter in the Group 2 Sires’ Produce Stakes.

His run was massively hindered at a crucial stage in The Phoenix but I loved the way he picked back up and found the line.

Honey Pot is yet to win a race from four career starts but Tony Gollan has a huge opinion of the Spirit Of Boom filly.

She was sent out as the $1.70 favourite last weekend on Ipswich Cup day and although she failed to win, she showed a huge turn of foot late in the race.

Bet Now: Chayse ‘N’ Artie

Race 8 – Group 1 Tatt’s Tiara (1400m)

Annavisto brings a different form line into the Tatt’s Tiara and we haven’t seen her since she ran second in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf in April.

She has been an incredibly consistent mare throughout her career and was excellent throughout her autumn campaign on rain effected tracks.

She is better on top of the ground and has won four of nine at this distance.

Shout The Bar is capable of producing a rating that is good enough to win this race and goes well fresh.

Bet Now: Annavisto

Race 9 – Group 3 W.J Stakes (1200m)

Garibaldi chased hard when resuming in the Listed Lightning Handicap behind Boomnova but I loved the way he finished off the last 100 meters.

He will appreciate the step up in distance now and although he’ll need some luck in running he represents good value at double figures.

Blondeau won the Listed Takeover Target at Gosford first up and his two runs in Queensland have been full of merit.

He was beaten just 1.4 lengths behind Soxagon at Group 3 level two back and once he knuckled down to the task in the Hinkler Handicap last start, he savaged the line late.

Bet Now: Garibaldi
