James McDonald won’t appeal his 5-meeting suspension handed to him following his ride aboard Medaille in the TAB Handicap at Warwick Farm on Monday.
The suspension effectively rules McDonald out of riding on Blue Sapphire Stakes day as well as Caulfield Cup day.
Godolphin’s number one jockey will miss the chance to ride one of the four runners it currently has nominated for the Group 1 Caulfield Cup.
Hartnell, Scottish, Tally and Its Somewhat are all nominated for Godolphin and are all well supported in betting markets.
Jockey @mcacajamez has decided not to appeal y’days Warwick Farm suspension. Rides Saturday but misses Blue Sapphire and Caulfield Cup day.
