Warwick Farm Tips, Race Previews and Selections – 1/6/2022

We’re racing at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, June 1st, and seven races are on the program.

The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Heavy (10) range.

Race 1 – China Horse Club’s The Chase Handicap (1200m)

Regal Pom can return a winner in the first at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The Press Statement gelding returned some decent performances last time in, and he was unlucky not to strike in any of his last three appearances.

He’s had the benefit of a trial in the lead-up to his return and looks primed to strike.

Bet Now: Regal Pom

Race 2 – Maiden Handicap (1100m)

There’s virtually no form to study ahead of the second at Warwick Farm on Wednesday and several debutants are prominent in betting.

I can’t find anything that I am particularly confident in, and I am happy to stay out.

Bet Now: Race 2

Race 3 – The Agency Handicap (1400m)

Mystic Mermaid can break her maiden at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The Fastnet Rock filly has returned three competitive efforts since resuming this time, and was last seen filling the minors in a similar contest over 1250m here.

She steps out this week in peak order and might not be offered a better opportunity to win.

Bet Now: Mystic Mermaid

Race 4 – First Justify Yearlings Handicap (1300m)

Bella Rouge looks as the one to beat in the fourth at Warwick Farm this week.

The daughter of I Am Invincible ended her last prep with a nice win in maiden company, and she finished a credible second behind Mirra View in late April.

With improvement, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

Bet Now: Bella Rouge

Race 5 – Vinery Yearlings Handicap (1400m)

Finepoint is another horse that looks ready to strike second-up at Warwick Farm this week.

The Chris Waller-trained filly ended her last prep with consecutive wins in midweek metro races, and she kept her best work for late when third behind Ita in mid-May.

James McDonald rides, and the horse certainly looks up to winning something of this quality.

Bet Now: Finepoint

Victor Ludorum @ Darley Handicap (1000m)

The consistent Quiet Riot goes around the penultimate race at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, and he looks a touch of overs at around the $13 mark.

The Fastnet Rock gelding returned a winner at Orange back in April, and he has since placed in consecutive races in town.

He takes his place in this race at peak fitness and we can have an each-way play at current odds.

Bet Now: Quiet Riot

Race 7 – Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1600m)

Baltic Coast is chasing a hat-trick when he takes his place in the last at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, and I am keen to stick with him.

The New Approach gelding stamped himself as a galloper to follow with a smart win on debut in Australia at Newcastle, and he repeated that effort during the Scone Carnival most recently.

This is a rise in class, but he harbours plenty of improvement, and he is drawn to receive every chance again.

Bet Now: Baltic Coast
