Racing Victoria has made the early decision to transfer the Cranbourne meeting on Thursday to the Polytrack at Pakenham.
It follows more than 40mm of rain falling on the Cranbourne track from 9am on Monday.
The Cranbourne track was deemed unsuitable for racing, prompting Southside Racing officials to transfer the meeting to their sister track at Pakenham.
The transfer forced acceptances to remain open to later in the morning on Tuesday while also forcing three races to be shortened in distance with field limits also being reduced across the eight races scheduled.
Racing is set to go ahead as scheduled at Sandown on the Lakeside track on Wednesday where a track inspection on Tuesday morning had the surface rated as a Heavy 9.
