Despite drawing a wide barrier Yankee Rose has been sensationally backed to win tomorrow’s Victorian Oaks.
Yankee Rose was $4.60 last month, but she has since firmed into $1.65 favourite with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
Punters launched after her third in the Cox Plate and Yankee Rose holds eight times more money than second best backed Eleonora ($9.00).
Second favourite Harlow Gold ($8.00) is next in betting, but after that the money is widespread.
Sebring Dream ($11) and Missrock ($13) are finding it hard to attract bets, with $251 outsider Penthouse Kitten holding more money.
