French Formula One driver Romain Grosjean has undergone surgery on both hands after his massive fiery crash at last month’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
“Everything went well,” the 34-year-old Grosjean tweeted late Tuesday.
Grosjean had earlier in the day said the operation was needed to repair thumb ligament damage and clean burn wounds in his left hand, and for treatment on his right hand which he said he broke in the pre-season when he fell at home.
Haas driver Grosjean escaped just in time in a massive crash in which his car was split in two parts and then went up in flames at the November 29 Bahrain race.
Grosjean missed the last two races of the season and did not receive a new contract at Haas which could mean the end of his F1 career.
