Red Bull’s Mark Webber was hit with a 20-second penalty for an illegal overtaking manoeuvre which pushed him out of the points at the Singapore Grand Prix.
The Australian was handed the punishment for running off the course as he overtook Sauber’s Kamui Kobayashi, a move which is forbidden under Formula One rules, late in Sunday’s race.
Webber finished 10th, earning one point, but now drops to 11th, while Sauber’s Sergio Perez is promoted one position and gains his 66th point of the year.
Webber remains fifth in the season standings with a total points tally of 132.
