The scriptwriters got it spot on as the Browns sensationally parted ways with their former first overall pick, who led them to a drought-breaking playoff run in 2020, in favour of bringing Deshaun Watson to town. However, Watson won’t feature in a Browns uniform until at least Week 13, which finds Jacoby Brissett once again being thrust into a starting role as he suits up for his third different franchise in as many years and fourth overall. The much-anticipated return of Christian McCaffrey will hopefully jumpstart Carolina’s offence, but with these teams both ranking in the top five for yards conceded per game last season, it could be a dour affair as two new quarterbacks look to find chemistry with their respective teammates.
