Despite the Chiefs having the better of pretty much the entire NFL over the last four seasons since Patrick Mahomes took over, the Chargers have given them plenty of trouble.
Since the start of the 2018 NFL season, the Chiefs have gone just 4-3 against their division rivals including back to back losses in the last two games.
When they met back in Week 3 at Arrowhead Stadium the Chiefs defence was finding its footing and they were torched by Justin Herbert that day.
This will give us a great barometer of how much they have progressed after keeping their last three opponents to exactly nine points and their last six to under 20 points, winning every time.
Los Angeles will be motivated to win this as it would put them in control of the AFC West with three weeks remaining so all signs are pointing towards an all time showdown.
As tempting as it is to back the Chargers at home, playing at SoFi Stadium has not provided a tangible benefit on their play going 4-3 head to head and 3-4 against the spread this season.
Kansas City is in red hot form and I will give them the benefit of the doubt in this one.
