Were off to the Pacific Northwest to begin Week 6 and we have two teams that desperately need a win.
Seattle blew a very winnable game against the Giants last week, at Lumen Field no less, failing to take advantage of the opportunity to open up a two game lead in the NFC West.
San Francisco were upended by the Cardinals in San Jose to drop to 2-3 and there are some real concerns over the direction the 49ers are heading in.
The other major factor going into this game is the sheer volume of injuries that both sides are dealing with, especially the Seattle defence.
While a lot can change between the time of writing this preview and kickoff, the volume of starters on the injury report does not make for good reading for the home team.
It might be a bit ugly at times (like most of these Thursday Night Football productions) but the 49ers have the history, winning their last five games against the Seahawks and Brock Purdy should be able to amass a decent yardage total.
