After registering their eighth-straight win last Thursday night, Melbourne tightened from $4.75 to $3.75 favourites at TAB to win the 2020 NRL premiership.
The Storm defeated the Roosters 24-6 at the SCG to commence Round 14, which resulted in the two-time reigning premiers drifting from $3.25 to $4 and losing premiership favouritism for the first time since the start of Round 5.
Penrith stretched their winning streak to nine games and shortened from $4.50 to $4 to win this season’s premiership after their 18-12 victory over the Warriors at Central Coast Stadium last Friday night.
Parramatta – as short as $4 before Round 10 – eased from $5 to $6 to win this year’s title after falling 14-12 to St George Illawarra at Bankwest Stadium last Friday night.
