Newcastle have appointed Adam O’Brien as their new NRL coach for the next three seasons.
O’Brien will take over from caretaker coach Kristian Woolf who had replaced Nathan Brown following the Knights’ poor run this season which left them out of finals contention.
O’Brien is a highly regarded assistant at the Sydney Roosters. He’d previously worked for 11 years with Melbourne.
