Brisbane Broncos vs Melbourne Storm Preview
In the only inconsequential game of the round, the Brisbane Broncos aim to close a disappointing season on a high, while the minor premiership-winning Melbourne Storm gear up for the finals with a nearly full-strength squad.
The Broncos have won just once in their last 16 encounters against the Storm, a 26-0 victory in last year’s qualifying final. However, their form has dipped, conceding 40-plus points in three of their last five matches, including a demoralising 40-6 loss to the Dolphins.
Changes for the Broncos include Selwyn Cobbo shifting to centre and Corey Oates returning on the wing, with Reece Walsh listed in the reserves.
The Storm, after a respectable showing from a second-string side in their 38-30 loss to the Cowboys, welcome back several key players like Jahrome Hughes and Harry Grant. With Craig Bellamy fielding a strong lineup, this could be a tough outing for a depleted Broncos side with only pride left to play for.
Head To Head Bet
We're tipping Melbourne Storm to win at $1.19 odds.
