South Sydney captain Sam Burgess will front the NRL on comments made over the judiciary, after he labelled it a “kangaroo court”.

Burgess has been issued a show cause notice by the NRL over the comments he made to reporters on Tuesday, with the threat of a breach notice lingering.

“Sam’s comments about the judiciary breach our code of conduct and are offensive to both the chairman and members of the panel who carry out their duties impartially, without fear or favour,” NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said.
