Canterbury Bulldogs vs Manly Sea Eagles Preview
Canterbury Bulldogs return to finals for the first time in eight years, facing a tough Sunday clash against the Manly Sea Eagles after a rocky lead-up and recent form slump.
The Bulldogs’ promising season, marked by a 10-2 run and strong defence, faltered in the past fortnight. They were defeated 34-22 by Manly in Round 26 and then collapsed 44-6 against the Cowboys. Adding to their woes, Josh Addo-Carr has stood down after a failed drug test, with Jeral Skelton stepping in on the wing.
Manly, aiming for a home final, also faced setbacks with a loss to the Tigers and a 40-20 defeat by the Sharks. Tom Trbojevic returns but may not be fully fit.
While the Bulldogs have historically done well against Manly in finals, the Sea Eagles’ big-game experience, especially Daly Cherry-Evans, could prove decisive. Given Canterbury’s recent struggles, Manly seems the safer bet.
Head To Head Bet
We're tipping Manly Sea Eagles to win at $1.82 odds.
