Parramatta have reportedly issued Corey Norman a $20,000 breach notice for drinking while on the club’s injured list.
Norman, who has endured a difficult year at the Eels, was not named for Saturday’s clash with Newcastle due to a foot injury but according to Fox Sports was spotted on social media drinking.
The fine continues a difficult year for the Eels playmaker, who has struggled to combine with halfback Mitchell Moses and was last week moved to fullback.
The 27-year-old has one year left on his contract but there has been some suggestion he could leave the club a season early.
Norman could also have another $10,000 sanction added on, given he has a suspended fine from a previous breach notice hanging over his head.
The former Brisbane player has a chequered past, having been banned for eight weeks following a run of incidents during Parramatta’s drama-filled 2016 season.
