Parramatta have continued their re-signing spree by extending the contract of rising prop Daniel Alvaro until the end of the 2019 NRL season.

Alvaro is the third player the club has given another deal to in as many days, following Nathan Brown and utility Will Smith in re-committing to the club.

The 24-year-old has proven to be a key forward for coach Brad Arthur after winning a starting spot for Sunday’s season-opener against Penrith.

“Daniel has an outstanding work ethic,” Arthur said on Thursday.

“He’s an impressive young footballer on and off the field, and I’m confident he will continue his development over the next couple of seasons.”
