Parramatta winger Maika Sivo has been suspended for one NRL game after taking the early guilty plea for a high tackle on Melbourne fullback Jahrome Hughes.
Sivo was hit with a grade-three careless high tackle charge but took the early discount. He will miss Saturday’s trip to North Queensland.
His absence means a likely call-up for veteran back Josh Hoffman as the Eels attempt to bounce back from Saturday’s 64-10 humiliation to the Storm.
In other judiciary news, Sydney Roosters star Jared Waerea-Hargreaves can escape a ban for a dangerous contact charge with an early guilty plea.
Waerea-Hargreaves, hit on Monday with a grade-one charge, can play in Friday’s match against Brisbane if he takes the early discount.
South Sydney prop Tevita Tatola has also been fined for a careless high tackle on Cowboys fullback Jordan Kahu.
Both players have until midday on Tuesday to enter their pleas.
