Farah out of Tigers-Sharks NRL blockbuster

Wests Tigers champion hooker Robbie Farah has been ruled out of Sunday’s NRL blockbuster against Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval.

Farah failed in his bid to be cleared of a broken leg he suffered against Canterbury a month ago and will miss his fourth game in a row.

Ryan Matterson has once again been named to start at No.9, however, five-eighth Benji Marshall is tipped to slot into dummy-half with Josh Reynolds expected to play there off the bench.

Having announced he will retire at the end of the year, the 35-year-old Farah’s only chance of playing again is if the Tigers beat the Sharks or draw to secure eighth spot and a finals berth.

Farah will warm up as the side’s 19th man in the No.21 jersey.
