Previews:

Poor ball control and a mounting injury toll for the Titans however, tipped the game in favour of the Broncos who scored three times inside of last quarter of the match, blowing the score-line out.

Unfortunately for the Titans there line up will still be missing several players this week as well Nate Myles (Origin), Aidan Sezer, Kevin Gordon (injuried) and Greg Bird (suspension) all unavailable.

On the positive side though, they welcome back half-back Albert Kelly and with Luke Bailey starting for Myles, still possess a very strong forward pack.

WARRIORS
The Warriors continued to show good improvement in last week’s clash against competition front-runners Canterbury and were only denied their third consecutive win by a desperate try-saving tackle in the final minutes of the match by Bulldog Brett Morris.

Although a Bulldog home-game, last week’s match was played in New Zealand and this week the Warriors leave their home-shores for the first time in a fortnight.

The shouldn’t worry the Warriors who from their four wins this season, can boast two away wins and at the most testing venues for visitors, AAMI Park (Melbourne) and Townsville (Cowboys).

After a slow start to the season the Warriors have started to turn things around over the last month and unlike their opponents this week, field a strong line-up which is bolstered by the return of speedster Kevin Locke to the win.

HEAD TO HEAD
The Titans have lost their last six against the Warriors, which include three games at CBUS Stadium, with their last victory coming way back in 2010.

The Warriors have led at half-time in all but one of those games.

WRAP
The Titans are feeling the pinch with a limited roster to choose from and up against a Warriors side who have been building nicely, and have an imposing record over the Titans, the Gold Coast team will not find this one easy.

As they did against the Broncos, they’ll give a good account of themselves and more than hold there own up front but there defence, which has bled 62 points in the past fortnight, will be tested by the Warriors who have plenty of strike-power in their back-line.

News:

Blake Ferguson took a significant stride forward on his long road back to the NRL on Thursday on his first day at work with the Sydney Roosters.

Dressed in an official club polo shirt with his foot in a moonboot following ankle surgery, Ferguson passed into the Roosters’ offices at Moore Park shortly before 9am (AEST) to begin his job as a community and football development officer.

The role is the first stage of his involvement with the premiers that is likely to see him in the tricolours’ jersey in 2015.

The move comes almost a year after he was dumped from the NSW State of Origin side, found guilty of indecent assault, a conviction he is appealing, and exiled from rugby league.

Ferguson has said he has struggled in his time away from rugby league and was said to be all smiles as he began a new chapter in his life.

Roosters prop Sam Moa said Ferguson had been welcomed to the club by the playing group.

“It is a good step forward for him,” Moa said.

“We wish him the best and it will be a good spot for him at the Roosters. He will certainly get some help here.

“Playing alongside a player of his talents is something to look forward to.

“But we are not looking too far ahead. We have to find some form and confidence this year, but we will definitely be waiting to see if that happens next year.”
