Magpies extend Crisp, Hoskin-Elliott deals

Collingwood have locked in reliable duo Jack Crisp and Will Hoskin-Elliott on long-term deals which may see them play out their AFL careers with the Magpies.

Crisp has inked a four-year extension that takes him through until the end of the 2023 season while Hoskin-Elliott has signed on through to the end of the 2022 campaign.

The star pair, both 25, played their 100th matches last season, and were part of Collingwood’s push to the grand final.

Midfielder Crisp has played 92 consecutive matches for the Magpies since arriving from Brisbane in 2015 while forward Hoskin-Elliott played every match in 2018.

“Jack and Will were obvious retention priorities, given the seasons they produced, their experience and the fact that they are reaching the sweet spots of their careers,” Collingwood list manager Ned Guy said.

“That they were keen to sign long term is also an indication of their faith in the coach, their teammates and the broader program, which is heartening.”
