Mannering announces Kiwis retirement

New Zealand rugby league great Simon Mannering has announced his retirement from the representative game.

After 45 Tests for the Kiwis, including a stint as captain, industrious Warriors forward Mannering said it was time to make way for younger players.

The 31-year-old becomes the first Kiwis candidate to publicly make himself unavailable for this month’s Test against England in Denver.
