Maroons’ Hodges backs Mbye for Origin II

Queensland assistant Justin Hodges has backed Moses Mbye to play in Sunday’s State of Origin II despite the utility collapsing from a severe allergic reaction.

It is believed Maroons team doctor Matt Hislop found Mbye slumped on the floor at the team’s hotel in Perth on Friday morning, after he called the medico and then went into anaphylactic shock.

“I am not a doctor but he was in a bad way. But he will be ready to go, he was buzzing last night,” Hodges said of Mbye.
