May returns to Penrith’s halves

Playmaker Tyrone May will play his first NRL game since injuring his knee at the end of last season when his Penrith side clash with the Warriors on Friday night.

May played for Penrith in last year’s finals run, and will partner with fellow youngster Jarome Luai at Penrith Stadium with both Nathan Cleary and James Maloney in NSW State of Origin camp.

“It’s a credit to himself how he has got back from his rehab. He’s all class. Just like you see a lot of young players coming through the grades,” Penrith veteran Trent Merrin said of May.
