Despite failing behind 12-0 in the first half, Melbourne has accounted for Parramatta in their qualifying final and the Storm have tightened from $3.25 to $3 to win the 2020 NRL premiership.
The Storm were as much as $2.15 during the first half before piling on the points to defeat the Eels 36-24 at Suncorp Stadium.
Two TAB punters in particular would have been happy with the Storm’s performance after bets of $26,765 at $1.22 and $29,500 at $1.20 were placed before the game commenced.
Another TAB customer placed $20,000 at $3.25 on Melbourne to win this season’s premiership before their win over Parramatta, which could result in a $65,000 collect.
The Eels have drifted from $21 to $31 and their semi-final opponent next weekend will be the winner of tomorrow’s elimination final between Souths and Newcastle.
