Melbourne Storm vs Cronulla Sharks Preview
Melbourne Storm, the minor premiers, host a qualifying final against the Cronulla Sharks, who aim to break a six-match finals losing streak.
The Sharks, despite missing key players Nicho Hynes and Braydon Trindall, delivered a notable 25-18 win at AAMI Park in Round 10, facing a Storm side without Jahrome Hughes and Ryan Papenhuyzen. Melbourne, however, has won six of the last seven encounters between these teams.
The Storm come in strong, winning 11 of their last 13 games, and recently dominating the Broncos 50-12. Jahrome Hughes has been in stellar form, with Cam Munster and Harry Grant also performing well. The return of Papenhuyzen and Christian Welch bolsters their lineup.
The Sharks, finishing in the top four, won five of their last six games, but questions remain about Hynes’ performance under pressure.
With Melbourne’s experienced spine and success at AAMI Park, they remain strong favourites to advance.
Head To Head Bet
We're tipping Melbourne Storm to win at $1.30 odds.
