Mal Meninga and Norm Provan have joined Dally Messenger, Dave Brown and Frank Burge as rugby league’s five newest Immortals.

The duo were inducted at a gala dinner at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday night, joining the pre-war trio who had also been recognised as new Immortals earlier in the evening.

“It was an opportunity the game could not afford to miss and the Immortals now reflect the full history of Rugby League – from 1908 to the present,” NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg said.
