Queensland have confirmed Cameron Munster will play fullback while Corey Norman will make his debut at five-eighth in next week’s State of Origin series decider in Sydney.
Munster moves from five-eighth to start in the No.1 jersey, replacing the injured Kalyn Ponga.
And St George Illawarra playmaker Norman will slot straight into the starting halves, partnering captain Daly Cherry-Evans.
Maroons coach Kevin Walters also confirmed his starting pack with recalled forward Joe Ofahengaue to move into the front row with incumbent prop Josh Papalii.
Ofahengaue made an impressive debut in Queensland’s series opening 18-14 win but missed their 38-6 loss to the Blues in Perth with a knee gash.
Debutant Christian Welch has been named on the interchange.
Walters kept NSW guessing when he named his game three squad in alphabetical order on Monday, refusing to confirm his line-up until later in the week.
But Walters has now revealed his hand, also adding South Sydney back-rower Ethan Lowe to the squad as 18th man.
Gold Coast playmaker AJ Brimson is 19th man.
“We’ve had a really positive start to our camp since we’ve got back together here in Brisbane,” Walters said.
“Now we’re about to get into some of our bigger training sessions, so it’s an exciting time for everyone, particularly the players who have been given a new opportunity at this level.
“Cameron has always enjoyed playing fullback and I can sense how eager he is to make a strong contribution.
“The same can be said for Corey. He’s been in our system for a number of years now and he’s stoked to get the chance on such a big stage.
“Now it’s about getting down to business and making sure our preparation is spot on.”
