NRL Round 4 Odds and Betting Preview – 2021

Penrith’s premiership odds have firmed while the Roosters are the big drifters at the top of TAB’s NRL market, following the completion of round three.

The Roosters loss to rivals South Sydney coupled with a likely season-ending knee injury to star playmaker Luke Keary has seen them go from joint title favourites with the Panthers at $5.25 out to $11.

The Panthers in contrast have shorted into $4.25 after their thrilling win over the Storm who are third on the TAB betting line at $6.00 behind the Rabbitohs on $5.00.

Penrith are $1.09 to beat Manly $7.00 on Thursday night.

In other market moves with TAB:

  • Reports Michael Morgan could be forced to retire with a chronic shoulder injury and their defeat to the Titans has seen the winless Cowboys join Canterbury as the teams at longest odds to win the Grand Final. North Queensland is now $101 in the premiership market.
  • The battling Bulldogs ($101) are currently paying $8.00 to upset Souths ($1.07) on Friday night.
  • The same Heat To Head odds are on offer for the Broncos ($8.00) against Melbourne ($1.07) in Friday’s second match. Brisbane are in from $81 to $67 on the premiership futures after snapping a 13 match losing streak.
  • Despite Ben Hunt’s broken leg, St George Illawarra’s odds have been almost halved since round one, going from $81 to $41.
  • The Warriors have tightened after their win over the Raiders while Canberra are now back out to double figures again.
