THE dream of three straight premierships still remains alive for the Sydney Roosters and they have been backed from $1.62 to $1.45 at TAB to account for Canberra ($2.30 to $2.75) in tomorrow night’s semi-final at the SCG.
In a rematch of last year’s Grand Final, the Sydney Roosters have attracted 72 percent of support from TAB customers including one bet of $10,000 at $1.48.
The Roosters have won four of their last five clashes against the Raiders since Round 9 last season although Canberra’s sole win during this period was the 24-20 victory at the SCG in Round 10 this season.
Since 2015, only one of the 10 elimination final winners has progressed to the preliminary finals, but Souths have firmed from $1.53 to $1.45 to defeat Parramatta ($2.50 to $2.75) at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday night.
The Rabbitohs have received 92 percent of the money from TAB punters including wagers of $10,000 at $1.48 and $21,000 at $1.45.
Souths have won three of their past four encounters against the Eels dating back to 2018 including the 38-0 thrashing in Round 16 this season at Bankwest Stadium.
