Packer fined for urinating on NRL field

The NRL issued the Warriors with a $15,000 breach notice on Tuesday in relation to front-rower Russell Packer urinating on the field before the clash with Brisbane.

Cameras captured the indiscretion in Monday night’s 56-18 win by the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium.

After the game, Packer appeared to confirm he was caught out, tweeting: “Good win when u gotta go u gotta go lol.”

“This sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable and there is no excuse for it,” said NRL general manager of football operations, Nathan McGuirk.

The Warriors have five working days to make submissions over the breach notice.

The result marked the Broncos’ biggest loss at Suncorp Stadium – eclipsing their 40-4 defeat to Canterbury in 2003.

Since their record 62-6 loss to Penrith, the Warriors have notched back-to-back wins capped by their biggest victory over Brisbane.
