QLD Maroons’ odds slashed to win State of Origin series 2019

After overturning an 8-0 second half deficit to prevail 18-14 in Game 1 at Suncorp Stadium, Queensland are now $1.53 with TAB to win the 2019 State of Origin series.

The Maroons entered Game 1 as $2.50 outsiders to reclaim the Origin title from New South Wales who have eased from $1.55 to $2.50 to secure consecutive Origin series victories

The Blues have opened $1.68 favourites with TAB to win Game 2 at Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday, June 23 with Queensland outsiders at $2.25.

“Queensland were not completely outplayed in the first half, but they still got out to as much as $5 to win Game 1 when trailing by eight points,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.

“Unfortunately for one TAB punter, the Blues’ defeat proved costly after a $103,000 bet at $1.85 was placed this morning on New South Wales to win the opening game.”

However, another TAB customer was thrilled after their $2,000 wager at $23 on Josh Morris to score the first try resulted in a $44,000 profit.
