Queensland has been heavily backed to level the Origin series at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night.
“Since Origin I the Maroons have been backed from $1.70 into $1.48 and we expect more money for the Queenslander’s before tomorrow night,” Centrebet’s Michael Felgate said.
“The Blues are friendless in betting, drifting from $2.45 out to $2.72. Injuries and a number of off-field incidents have plagued their build-up and the punters don’t want anything to do with them. We have hardly taken a decent bet on NSW in the past two weeks.”
Maroons supporters have also launched a Man Of The Match plunge on forward Corey Parker who has been backed from $11 into $7.
“Punters normally want to be on the bigger names in Origin Man of the Match betting so we were surprised when the money came for Parker,” Felgate said.
“He has been named in the starting line-up so if Parker has a blinder and the Maroons win we’ll be in a world of pain,” Felgate said.
Queensland’s Johnathan Thurston is favourite at $6.
Despite the Queensland plunge in Origin 2, NSW remains favourite to break it’s seven year hoodoo and win the series at $1.47 with Queensland $2.70.
