September 2018 – Announced as Dally M coach of the year after taking South Sydney to the finals in his rookie season.
December 2018 – Appointed as Broncos coach on a five-year deal following a messy swap with Wayne Bennett. Club legend Bennett is sacked via a voicemail message.
April 2019 – Seibold faces the pressure immediately, after slumping to club’s worst start in the 21st century with five losses in their first six games.
May 2019 – The exodus begins. James Roberts leaves for South Sydney. Kodi Nikorima heads to the Warriors and Jaydn Su’a later follows Roberts to join Bennett at the Rabbitohs.
September 2019 – Brisbane scrape into the eight on the final day of the season, after being shocked by Canterbury in the last round.
September 2019 – Broncos suffer the NRL’s biggest finals thrashing, embarrassed 58-0 by Parramatta. It is later revealed six players had spent the evening before the game playing the pokies.
May-June 2020 – Brisbane, 2-1 before the competition’s shutdown, resume with a 34-6 loss to the Eels and a record 59-0 hiding from the Roosters.
July 2020 – Their performance reaches new lows after a 48-0 loss to Wests Tigers, with the Brisbane board guaranteeing Seibold would remain in the job but hinting that his position would be reviewed at season’s end.
July 2020 – A horror month is capped when rising star David Fifita turns his back on a contract extension in favour of joining Queensland rivals Gold Coast on a big-money deal.
August 8 2020 – Broncos great Allan Langer is among three club staff banned from the club after attending a private function at the Caxton Hotel and breaching Project Apollo protocols.
August 8, 2020 – Anthony Seibold remains in Sydney to attend to a private family matter after a loss to Souths – a 10th from their last 11 games – and is forced to endure a 14-day exclusion from the club.
August 9, 2020 – Long-time champion fullback Darius Boyd, playing in the centres in his final season, withdraws from the club’s leadership group.
August 10, 2020 – Tevita Pangai Jnr spotted by police attending a barber shop with bikie links. Fined $30,000, he is also booted from the NRL’s bubble indefinitely as the club decides whether to tear up his contract.
August 12 2020 – Another investigation is launched by the NRL and Queensland police after a host of Broncos lunched at a Brisbane club, the club and players fined a total of $140,000 by the NRL.
August 12, 2020 – The coach is forced to hire a lawyer after vicious rumours begin to circulate about his personal life.
August 26, 2020 – Seibold is set to tell players he is quitting as the club’s coach, after reaching a severance agreement with club bosses.
