Preview:

Souths and Melbourne played a classic last time they met in the 2018 finals series, with Melbourne getting home by a point to secure home field advantage in the finals. This is their only meeting of the home and away season and it takes place in Gosford.

The Storm are 4-3 at the Central Coast, with Souths achieving a 6-7 mark. Melbourne produced a commanding win against the Broncos, bouncing back from a golden point loss to Manly to prevail 40-4. Souths ran into a rampant Sharks side in the Shire to lose 39-24, giving up their biggest score of the season.

Wayne Bennett has resisted swinging the axe, maintaining the same 17 that lost last round. For the Storm, Christian Welch is out for the season with an ACL injury, replaced by Tui Kamikamica.

The Bunnies are one of the worst performed sides against the spread at just 7-1-11, failing to cover five of their past six handicaps. Melbourne has won six of seven against Souths and The Wolf reckons the side from Victoria will be able to bully the Bunnies into submission, boasting a better 17-man squad than Souths, handing them their second loss on the trot.
