Queensland will start another State of Origin series as reigning champions but underdogs after naming a 20-man squad for Game One and being installed as $2.45 outsiders by TAB.

The Maroons are sweating on the availability of key stars Cameron Munster, Kalyn Ponga, Felise Kaufusi and Harry Grant, while the Blues have had their own injuries and suspensions to contend with but are $1.55 to claim the series opener and $1.57 to regain the Origin shield.

A 2-1 New South Wales victory remains the favourite series outcome at $2.35 despite uncertainty over where the first match will be played.

Josh Addo-Carr ($8.50) is favourite to be first Try Scorer ahead of fellow Blues winger Brian To’o, who is paying $9 to cross first on debut.
