Sydney has agreed to host another women’s rugby league State of Origin match in 2019 following the success of this year’s event.
The stand-alone game will be played at North Sydney Oval on June 21.
“The Friday night game will provide fans with a wonderful opportunity to cheer on our women in blue as they taken on the Queenslanders, and enjoy a weekend in the harbour city,” Tourism Minister Adam Marshall said in a statement on Thursday.
Almost 7000 people went to the inaugural match, which was won by NSW and watched by more than 700,000 on TV.
