This is their first meeting in 2021-22, after last season’s series failed to yield a victor, with both the Hawks and Nuggets defending home court. More recently, Denver defeated Indiana 101-98 despite the absences of Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr., leaving Will Barton (30 points) to lead the Nuggets to their fourth straight home win. Jokic will return on Friday, but Porter Jr. remains sidelined indefinitely. Meanwhile, Atlanta lost 110-98 at Utah despite the best efforts of Kevin Huerter (28 points, six triples).
