Even with the latter two in its lineup, Brooklyn couldn’t overcome the undermanned Lakers on Saturday, falling 126-101 at home. On recent performances it would appear Minnesota could also challenge the Nets, with yesterday’s 121-117 upset against Chicago marking its fourth win in five home games. Karl-Anthony Towns (27 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists) led the way to that victory while D’Angelo Russell (27 points) was also influential in limited minutes. However, it remains to be seen whether Russell will suit up against the Nets due to his injury troubles and this being the second leg of a back-to-back.
