Harden played just 27 minutes against Houston yesterday, however, that didn’t stop the Nets from overcoming the Rockets 120-108 despite trailing by as many as 18 points early in the contest. Kyrie Irving inspired the comeback, finishing with 31 points and 12 assists to lead Brooklyn to its sixth straight home win. This will mark the second meeting between these teams this season, with the first going the way of the Hornets 106-104 on December 27, led by Gordon Hayward’s 28-point performance. Hayward (26 points, 11 rebounds, six assists) was similarly influential during Tuesday’s 114-104 victory at Washington. That marked Charlotte’s fifth straight win in conference play.
