Saunders leaves the job with the Timberwolves holding a 7-24 record in 2020-21 after Sunday’s 103-99 loss at New York. Karl-Anthony Towns (27 points, 15 rebounds) did all he could in trying to lead Minnesota to that victory but was unable to fully account for the continued absences of D’Angelo Russell and Jarrett Culver (both out). Meanwhile, Milwaukee most recently defeated Sacramento 128-115 behind strong performances from Giannis Antetokounmpo (38 points, 18 rebounds) and Khris Middleton (32 points). The Bucks have won six consecutive home games against the Timberwolves and will be strongly favoured to make it seven on Tuesday night.
