The Scorchers still occupy the top of the BBL table at time of publish, but they’ll have their hands full on Wednesday night against a Hurricanes side that is starting to make some noise.

Hobart five-wicket win over the Thunder on Sunday has kept them in line for a finals spot, and there’s been plenty to like about the Cane Train’s bowling attack recently with Patrick Dooley now ranking seventh in the competition in wickets taken.

Unfortunately, the colour orange has been Hobart’s kryptonite in recent times. The ‘Canes have lost five in a row to the Scorchers dating back to 2019, with their last win in Perth occurring during that same season.

After Josh Inglis put up 62 on Hobart when they met last month, I think the Scorchers will prove too tough.
