Losing both games is very much on the cards this week for South East Melbourne, although the Phoenix will take heart in the fact they lost by only four when they met the Kings back in November.
Sydney rolls into this game on short rest themselves after facing the Bullets on Saturday. It’s an equally big weekend for the Kings, but as their 6-1 record at home suggests, it’s almost impossible to back against them.
The last time these two sides played the Kings shot a whopping 62% from the field. The Phoenix found a spark to keep the game close in the third quarter, but 25-points from Casper Ware proved the difference.
It’s hard to see anything changing this week if the Kings have their way. Sydney has averaged 99-points at home this year, compared to the Phoenix, who have averaged only 77 on the road.
