Despite the continued absence of Luka Doncic, the Mavericks claimed Game 3 126-118 at Vivint Arena on Thursday to take a 2-1 series lead and snap an 11-game losing streak in Salt Lake City. Jalen Brunson was immense during Game 3, contributing 31 points and five assists despite briefly heading to the locker room due to a back injury. As was the case in Game 2, Donovan Mitchell (32 points) and Bojan Bogdanovic (24) did what they could offensively for the Jazz, however, without an improved defensive performance, they could well be staring down a 3-1 deficit, especially if Doncic (game-time decision) is able to return.
