As they generally are, the Brumbies have been the standouts in the Australian Conference and they were very impressive in the first half of the season.

They suffered only a single defeat, when they went down to the Highlanders by a single point, and they beat the Rebels very comfortably when they met earlier in the year.

The Brumbies have won four of their past five games as favourites and they are an impressive 3-2 against the line in this scenario.

You never really know what to expect from the Rebels.

They made a very poor start to the season, when they suffered a defeat at the hands of the Sunwolves, but they went into the season shutdown on the back of strong victories over the Highlanders and the Lions.

The Brumbies are a side that hold no fears for the Rebels and they have won four of the past five games played between the two sides.

I am still loathe to bet against the Brumbies at GIO Stadium and I would not be surprised to see them confirm their status as the Super Rugby Australia team to beat.
